Good day, and welcome to the Vic podcasters. Podcast, your bite side slice of podcasting. Know how produced on water, run land, paying respects to elders, past, present and emerging. Yes, we are no longer the Geelong podcasters. We have now rebranded to Vic podcasters, and we have done so over the 2024 to 2025 holiday period. We would like to thank everyone who has been part of our journey during this time. I started initially, this is zo here, the person who started Geelong podcasters back in 2019 and we've taken a couple of breaks over that time, as you can probably imagine. But now we are expanding the Geelong podcasters to connect podcasters from across Victoria, including Geelong Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo, warnable and beyond. We want to address and recognize the growing need for statewide collaboration and networking when it comes to podcasting in Australia. In Victoria, well, what's new for Vic podcasters? We're expanding the community statewide, as you can probably imagine, while still keeping the original community spirit alive. We are offering five minute weekly podcast episodes, as we usually do, but with a Victorian lens, with tips, updates and industry news. We'll have regular Q and A sessions, workshops and events for Victorian podcasters, and as you can imagine, more collaboration opportunities with guest swaps, partnerships and resource sharing. We'll also have the opportunity to share some grants and essentially just help Victorian podcasters thrive with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, creativity and growth. So if you are new to Vic podcasters, and you're not sure what's going on here? Well, we'll tell you who Vic podcasters is for, whether you're a seasoned pro, a hobbyist or still in that one day, I'll start stage for podcasting. This is the community for you. If you live or work in Victoria, we're here for you. You can join the Vic podcasters movement by signing up to our email list or joining us on Facebook or LinkedIn. FYI, the email list will probably be better, but I need to be where you are, and you can also check out our link, Vcc dot training slash Vic, dash podcasters. That again, is Vcc dot training slash Vic podcasters. Next week, we're getting back into the swing of things, so we'll have a proper intro and outro, and not just me rambling at you in this trailer like format, we're going to start off with quick tips for making your first podcast episode stand out, or when you're coming back from a break, what to do? Remember, podcasting doesn't have to be a solo gig. You can join the Vic podcasters and Let's grow together. Vic podcasters was produced on what a run land
